Robin Lim was named Hero of the Year for her nonprofit organization Bumi Sehat Foundation, who offers medical assistance to pregnant low income women in Indonesia. Miley Cyrus and Kid Rock, who presented an award to a group of charitable youngsters both performed at the event by U.S. newsman Anderson Cooper. The star tweeted ‘What a glorious night to be a part of. Thank you for having me on your stage CNN such an honor.’

Norad tracks Santa for Christmas with the Norad Santa Tracker 2010. The Norad 2010 Santa Claus Tracker will track Santa from the North Pole to your home. But just in case you are worried, Santa sent new texts today verifying that he is one his way, on schedule. Tracking Santa involves various processes. First, NORAD uses a radar system it calls the North Warning System. NORAD tells news that it deploys 47 installations around the Northern section of the U.S. Boarder.

Those installations help determine when Santa has left the North Pole. Norad has been Santa’s tracker for 50 years. But Santa works out. Dealing with Rudolph is a workout enough. There is good news Santa has lots of gifts for you and everyone this year. The Santa Tracker started in 1955. The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) was created. It still operates today as a “bi-national air defense command”.

It’s staffed by volunteers who answer phone calls from kids looking for Santa. The moment that radar indicates Santa has lifted off, we use our second detection system. Satellites positioned in  synchronous orbit at 22,300 miles from the Earth’s surface are equipped with infrared sensors which enable them to detect heat.
